MAISON MOUTON BED & BREAKFAST

Maison Mouton Bed & Breakfast occupies a restored Creole house in the Sterling Grove District, with a garden shaded by massive oak trees. The property includes a covered area that can host events and weddings for up to 40 guests. Outdoor seating areas and a picnic area are surrounded by tranquil gardens with historic oak trees.

The 18 air-conditioned accommodations each have private bathrooms, and some offer spa baths or balconies. Rooms are furnished with antiques and include garden views, parquet floors, and private entrances for select suites. Safety features include fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, security alarms, and key access.

A daily chef-prepared Cajun breakfast is served communally at a long table, with options including American, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals. The breakfast features local specialties such as shrimp and grits and homemade French toast biscuits. Staff accommodates unique dietary needs and prepares meals on fine china in a restaurant-style setting.

Weekly live music events and cocktail hours provide guests with authentic Cajun entertainment. Staff members share the history of the house and the Lafayette area during breakfast tours. A suggestion book in each room lists dining and attraction recommendations for the region.

Maison Mouton accepts pets with designated fees and features outdoor spaces for walking dogs. Accessible facilities include lower bathroom sinks, raised toilets, grab rails, and wheelchair-accessible rooms. The property has accessible parking and offers express check-in and check-out.
